Welcome to Rising Crust ("we," "our," "us"). We operate an artisanal cottage kitchen specializing in handcrafted sourdough products based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website located at www.risingcrust.ae (the "Site") and any purchases made through our online store.

By accessing our Site, placing an order, or collecting our products, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or place an order.

1. Scope of Service & Micro-Bakery Structure

  • Artisanal Home Kitchen: Rising Crust is a home-based micro-bakery. All items are baked in small batches, handcrafted, and made entirely to order.

  • Geographic Limitation: Our services are strictly limited to customers who can fulfill in-person home collection in Dubai, UAE. We do not provide delivery, shipping, or international fulfillment.

2. Ordering, Cut-Off Times, & Payment

  • Pre-Order Requirement: Because authentic sourdough requires a long, natural fermentation process, all orders must be placed through the Site at least 48 hours prior to the designated collection date.

  • Pricing & Availability: All prices listed on our Site are in UAE Dirhams (AED). We reserve the right to alter prices or modify available menu items at any time based on seasonal ingredient availability without prior notice.

  • Payment Terms: Payment must be completed in full at the time of checkout via our integrated online payment processors. We do not store financial or credit card data on our local networks.

3. Collection, No-Show, & Perishable Goods Policy

  • Pickup Responsibility: When purchasing, you select a specific collection date and time window. It is your responsibility to collect your items within this designated window.

  • Location Pin Dispatches: For the security and privacy of our residential kitchen, our precise villa collection coordinates will only be shared via WhatsApp or Email after an order is confirmed.

  • Unclaimed Orders: Sourdough bread is a fresh, highly perishable product baked without preservatives. If you fail to collect your order on your scheduled day and do not coordinate an alternative timeline with us beforehand, your order will be forfeited at the close of collection hours. Because the items cannot be resold or preserved, no refunds, store credits, or complimentary re-bakes will be issued for unclaimed orders.

4. Cancellations, Rescheduling, & Refunds

  • 48-Hour Cutoff: You may cancel or reschedule your order free of charge up to 48 hours before your scheduled collection day.

  • Late Cancellations: Because your dough is prepared, weighted, and put into a long-fermentation process days in advance, any cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before the pickup window cannot be refunded or altered.

  • Quality Satisfaction: If you are genuinely unsatisfied with the quality of your bake, please contact us within 24 hours of collection with photographs of the product crumb structure so we can review the batch and find an amicable solution.

5. Food Safety, Allergens, & Health Disclaimer

  • Residential Kitchen Environment: Our sourdough products are prepared in a standard residential home kitchen. While we uphold strict hygiene, sanitization, and food safety standards, our kitchen environment regularly handles major food allergens including wheat (gluten), dairy, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, sesame, and soy.

  • Cross-Contamination Risk: We cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment. It is the customer's strict responsibility to inform us of severe allergies in the order notes prior to check-out.

  • Limitation of Health Liability: By purchasing our products, you acknowledge the residential nature of our bakery and voluntarily accept the inherent risk of trace cross-contamination. Rising Crust and its operators shall not be held liable for any adverse physical or allergic reactions resulting from trace exposure to allergens.

6. Intellectual Property & Brand Rights

  • Copyrighted Material: All content displayed on our Site—including but not limited to our brand name, logo layouts, text content, sourdough recipes, product descriptions, and photography—is the exclusive intellectual property of Rising Crust.

  • Prohibited Use: You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit any imagery or text from our website or social media channels for commercial purposes without our express written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, Rising Crust and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use our website.

  • Minor visual variations in your baked goods (as handcrafted bread naturally varies in scoring, blister distribution, and shape).

  • Improper post-collection storage by the customer (e.g., molding or staling caused by storing fresh bread in airtight plastic bags or refrigeration).

8. Governing Law & Local Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, interpreted, and enforced in accordance with the local federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the local laws of the Emirate of Dubai. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your purchase shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update, modify, or replace any part of these Terms at our discretion. Any modifications will take effect immediately upon being posted to this page. Your continued use of our Site or placement of an order following changes constitutes your formal acceptance of the revised Terms.
